Ridgeland Common is one of the Park District’s major athletic facilities with lighted baseball fields that serve most of our adult softball leagues. The facility includes the Paul Hruby Ice Arena which is open in the fall and winter. The rink is transformed into an Indoor Soccer Facility which is open in the spring and summer for leagues and a variety of other activities. A popular sight to cool off in the hot summer is Ridgeland Common Pool, one of the District’s two outdoor swimming pools. Ridgeland Common also features an Indoor Playground open during the week and available for rental for children’s birthday parties on weekends. Ridgeland Common Pool is one of the coolest places in town offering hours of summer fun for the whole community. All visitors are sure to find what they’re looking for in one of Ridgeland Commons many amenities which include a 50-meter pool, an age 7 and under zero-edge wading pool, a diving well, an adult sun deck, and a concession stand. Also available at Ridgeland Common Pool is an aquatic lift for persons with disabilities for easy pool entry and exit. Ridgeland Common Pool is ADA accessible.

Paul Hruby Ice Arena at Ridgeland Common is a seasonal facility open October through March featuring

• Public skate hours
• Learn to Skate School for all levels and abilities
• End of the Season Ice Show for Skate School participants (see below)
• Ice Skating Birthday Parties
• Ice Hockey Programs
• Youth Travel Hockey League

Children ages 8 months to 5 years will enjoy interacting and playing with other children in the indoor playground located upstairs at Ridgeland Common. No shoes or food permitted in the playground.
