Ridgeland Common is one of the Park District’s major athletic facilities with lighted baseball fields that serve most of our adult softball leagues. The facility includes the Paul Hruby Ice Arena at Ridgeland Common open in the fall and winter which provides Learn to Skate, Hockey, and Recreation Public Skating programs to the community. The rink is transformed into an Indoor Soccer Facility which is open in the spring and summer for competitive and instructional leagues and a variety of other activities. A popular sight to cool off in the hot summer is Ridgeland Common Pool, one of the District’s two outdoor swimming pools, where guests can enjoy a diving well with 1 and 3-meter boards, a 50-meter pool, and a 7 and under zero-edge wading pool with a spray-play apparatus. Ridgeland Common also features an Indoor Playground open during the week and available for rental for children’s birthday parties on weekends.
