Volunteer Opportunities
Get involved as a volunteer. You will:
Volunteeer opportunities abound at the Oak Park Conservatory. Here is just a brief summary overview of how you can get involved.
Docent: Guide school and adult tours through the showrooms, help with the Exploration Station. Docent training sessions are scheduled twice a year.
Special Event Volunteer: FOPCON sponsors a wide range of special events throughout the year. These include KidsFest, Plant Sale, the Garden Walk and the Plant Exhcanges.
Horticultural Volunteer: Volunteer in the showrooms and behind the scenes in the growing houses.
Plant Sale Grower Volunteer: Assist in potting, transplanting and nurturing hundreds of flowers, vegetables and herbs sold at the Annual Plant Sale held every May.
Committee Member: Volunteer committee members work on membership, education, fund raising, public relations and more.
