FAQS
Are there restrictions on food and alcohol?
Self-catering is allowed. To serve alcohol, you need a licensed bartender. The serving of alcohol by your caterer is permitted provided that they have general liability insurance and a Liquor Pouring license from the Village of Oak Park. For details on obtaining a license, your caterer should contact the Village at 708-358-5678 or via e-mail at clerk@oak-park.us.
Is Parking Available?
Parking is available on the side streets surrounding the Conservatory or at Rehm Pool, one half-block from the Conservatory. Please carefully read and obey all parking signs.
What is the Conservatory’s policy on music for private rentals?
Amplified sound is allowed indoors until 10:30 pm. The Village of Oak Park has established noise standards for residential neighborhoods and our rental attendant will assist you in meeting these standards. Amplified music is not allowed outside.
What can I do for decorations?
The Conservatory’s Rubinstein Room can be made elegant or fun and funky with the right decorations. The room easily lends itself to many styles and makeovers to meet your budget, and our staff will be glad to discuss with you the decorating possibilities.
