Mandy Garcia, Principal Coach & Program Specialist

Mandy Garcia originally joined the Gymnastics Coaching Staff in November, 2003, and has recently come back to the Park District! Mandy, a Michigan native, began gymnastics in a recreational program at the age of 8 and finished as a 4-year Varsity competitior for her high school. Mandy earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing & Communications from Columbia College but realized that her heart was still in the gym.

Mandy teaches parent and tot, preschool and recreational classes at the OPGC, as well as the GIJO Level. She is a USA Gymnastics Pro Member with CPR, First Aid, AED and USAG Safety Certifications. She has also received certifications in Movement Education and Lesson Plan Development (MELPD) and Kinder Accreditation for Teachers (KAT).
