Current Capital Improvement Projects

Longfellow Center
Longfellow Center is slated for renovation in late summer and fall 2007 to improve accessibility, create a customer friendly environment, provide functional and secure staff office areas and improve the overall condition of this recreation center. Due to these improvements, it is projected that Longfellow Center will be closed from late August through mid-November. The Park District is currently making necessary adjustments to fall program offerings in order to accommodate this construction. Upon project completion, a full-time program supervisor and a part-time program coordinator will be located at this facility as part of the District’s effort to enhance program offerings and improve customer service.
