Fox Park Renovation Project

A Fox Park Pre-Construction Information Meeting was held on April 15, 2008 at 7pm at Fox Center, 640 S. Oak Park Avenue, Oak Park. At this meeting project details and the expected construction timeline were reviewed.

A site master plan was developed for Fox Park in the fall 2006 and winter 2007 outlining future park improvements. (Site Plan development information) As part of the site plan implementation, major improvements will be made to the north end of Fox Park in summer 2008. Watch for new creative play areas to be installed for ages 2 to 5 and ages 5 to 12. Don’t worry, the ever-popular whale water feature will remain however this area will be restored. New swings, a ramp to gain access to the restrooms and landscaping are also part of the Fox Park Project.

Fox Park is expected to be closed from early August to late November, 2008.
