Austin Gardens

A site master plan for Austin Gardens, sometimes referred to as “the secret garden,” was completed in 2005 by CYLA Design Associates. This plan, which includes a programming study and a detailed site analysis, identifies future park improvements and preservation efforts. Phase one renovation of Austin Gardens began in October and includes path improvements and the addition of new plantings as well as new benches, trash receptacles, fencing, and lighting. Electrical upgrades and improvements to the irrigation system will also be completed. The park may be closed periodically during this project.

As part of the site plan, new native trees will be planted giving citizens an opportunity to adopt a tree under the Memorial Trust Program.
