Travel Basketball Coaches (posted October 23, 2007)
The Park District of Oak Park is looking for travel basketball coaches for a 7th & 8th grade girls team, a 5th & 6th grade boys team and a 7th & 8th grade boys team. This volunteer position would require approximately 10 hours a week of team contact. You must have previous coaching experience and knowledge of working with youth. You must also have excellent knowledge of basketball and your own transportation. The season runs from November 3 through March 16. Youth House League Basketball Coaches (posted October 23, 2007)
These volunteers will coach approximately 5 hours per week including practice and games.Previous experience is a plus but you must know how to work with youth and have a working knowledge of basketball. Frank Lloyd Wright Races - Celebrating 30+ Years of the Races!
The Frank Lloyd Wright Races features a scenic run, winding through the historic Frank Lloyd Wright and Prairie Home District of Oak Park. In order for this historic running event to run smoothly, the help of over 100 volunteers is needed. Oak Park Conservatory
Volunteer opportunities at the Oak Park Conservatory give gardeners the chance to learn new gardening skills and practice already-acquired skills while working in this beautiful tropical paradise. Have you ever visited Cheney Mansion? If so, you have seen the beautiful grounds that surround this historic property owned by the Park District of Oak Park. Pleasant Home
Volunteer opportunties at the historic Pleasant Home include assisting at special events and educational programs, and working on special Pleasant Home Foundation projects. Docent Training at Pleasant Home
