Full Time Gymnastics Coach
Responsibilities:
Responsible
for teaching preschool and recreation gymnastics classes,
evaluate student progress, and co-coach team when needed
Qualifications:
Must
have a high school diploma and 1-3 years experience in gymnastics
instruction. Applicant must be enthusiastic and be able to
work well with and instruct children. Also must possess good
leadership, customer service, and communication skills. Must
be able to move and lift medium to heavy weight. Upon hiring,
must obtain CPR/AED, First Aid and USA Gymnastics Safety certifications
Salary:
$28,000 - $35,000 plus full benefits package

Ridgeland Common Maintenance Worker
Responsibilities:
This
position is responsible for performing ice, pool, and facility
maintenance and custodial tasks at Ridgeland Common and Rehm
Pool. This individual will be responsible for keeping the
facilities safe and clean for our staff and guests and will
drive a Zamboni.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school graduate or comparable work experience
- Knowledge of ice rink equipment and maintenance
- Custodial experience
- A valid Illinois State Drivers License is required and
ability to drive a Zamboni (training provided)
- Ability to climb ladders and lift 100 pounds
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must be available nights and weekends
- First Aid and CPR/AED certification (training provided)

Qualifications:
- Experience instructing children in a preschool or early
childhood education setting
- Available Monday - Friday mornings

- Sixty semester hours or ninety quarter hours from an
accredited college or university
- Six semester or nine quarter hours of credits from an
accredited college or university related directly to child
development from birth to age six

Youth Sports Coaches and Instructor
Assistants (seasonal

Responsibilities:
Instruct
preschool, youth and pre-teens in a variety of sports and
activities including flag football, soccer, art, dance,
floor hockey, skateboarding, basketball and/or inline

Qualifications:
- Formal training
or knowledge of the activity
- Previous
coaching experience recommended

Facility,
Teen Center and Active Sports Area Attendants
Responsibilities:
Responsible
for maintaining a positive and safe environment at the Park
District community centers by effectively assisting customers,
opening and closing the building and communicating Park District
rules, regulations and policies to participants, patrons
and parents. The Attendant is also responsible for organizing
the response to accidents and incidents. The response will
include performing required duties or determining if professional
help is required
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patrons and participants
- Must be responsible, outgoing, energetic, and demonstrate excellent judgment and problem solving skills
- Must possess First Aid, AED and CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of being hired
- Work hours will vary by season. During the school year,
hours range from 3 to 9 pm Monday through Friday and may
include weekend hours during the day and/or evening and
may vary weekly. During the summer months, hours may vary
between 9 am and 9 pm and may include weekends. Approximately
10-20 hours per week
Hourly Pay Rate:
Starting at $8 per hour, depends on qualifications (DOQ)

CDL Bus Driver
Responsibilities:
Transports individuals for park district programs between the meeting site and the activity site in a 21-person passenger bus. MUST BE 21!

Fitness
Instructor
Responsibilities:
Fitness
Instructor is a part-time position, responsible for conducting
a safe and effective group exercise class(es) for the patrons
of the Park District. The position will be responsible for
conducting a fun and effective group exercise class including
proper warm-up, stretching, cardio, strength training, and
cool-down in compliance with District safety rules and procedures.
Additional functions may be assigned by the Health & Fitness
Supervisor
Qualifications:
Must have previous education or experience in teaching group exercise classes. Current national certification as a group exercise instructor or personal trainer is required. Current first aid and CPR certification. Must be available to teach early and mid morning classes
Hourly Pay Rate:
Starting at $20/hour
