Jr. Naturalist
Camp Director
Responsibilities
Leads the junior naturalist camp
and eco-observation camps for 5-13 year
old children at the Oak Park Conservatory. Accompanies
participants on various trips for the program.
Qualifications
Work
experience or education in science, biology, plant science
or nature programs. Helpful to have worked
in a camping environment before. Leadership skills; high
self-motivation; planning, organization and communication
skills; and ability to teach children. Enthusiasm,
patience and good people skills. 21 years of age and ability
to drive a passenger bus with a CDL
is helpful, but not required.
Hourly Pay Rate:
DOQ
Candidates must
be available:
June 10 through July
16: Tuesday mornings and afternoons, Wednesday mornings;
July
21 through August 21: Mondays through Thursdays
mornings and early afternoons
Theater Camp Instructor (1 position available)
Will instruct 6-11 year old children in acting and acting games. Will assist students in writing and creating an end of summer show. Must be available Mondays through Thursdays, 8:45 – 12:15 (June 9 – July 17) and on July 17 for the end of summer show, 6-8 pm.
Hourly Pay Rate:

Ridgeland Common Maintenance Worker (6 positions available)
This position is responsible for performing ice, pool, and facility maintenance and custodial tasks at Ridgeland Common and Rehm Pool. This individual will be responsible for keeping the facilities safe and clean for our staff and guests and will drive a Zamboni.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school graduate or comparable work experience
- Knowledge of ice rink equipment and pool maintenance
- Custodial experience
- A valid Illinois State Drivers License is required and ability to drive a Zamboni (training provided)
- Ability to climb ladders and lift 100 pounds
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must be available nights and weekends
- First Aid and CPR/AED certification (training provided)
