Fox Park Renovation Project

The new Fox Park Creative Play Area is finished!

A site master plan was developed for Fox Park in the fall 2006 and winter 2007 outlining future park improvements. (Site Plan development information) As part of the site plan implementation, major improvements were made to the north end of Fox Park in summer 2008 through spring 2009.

You are invited to explore the new creative play areas for ages 2 to 5 and ages 5 to 12. Don’t worry, the ever-popular whale water feature is still there however the water play area was renovated. New swings, a ramp to gain access to the restrooms and landscaping are also new features of Fox Park.

A Fox Park Pre-Construction Information Meeting was held on April 15, 2008 at 7pm at Fox Center, 640 S. Oak Park Avenue, Oak Park. At this meeting project details and the expected construction timeline were reviewed.
